In The Pink Puppy Homeschool Academy

We offer a 10-week training program designed as a foundation for Service Dog specialization.
The program can also be modified for families that want to bring home a puppy with house training and basic obedience. The two programs focus on the following skills:

Bite inhibition (gentle)
Shaping calm behaviour and auto sits for attention
Focus on building general impulse control
Habituation to household sounds and activity
Exposure to novel items with the focus on items similar to mobility assistance equipment, busy public environments and outdoor sport equipment
Socialization and play exposure dog to dog
Exposure to separation and kennel conditioning
Desensitization to body handling, grooming, physical restraint and training/working equipment
House breaking
Teaching basic cues including: TOUCH, SIT, DOWN, STAY, BED, LEAVE IT, DROP, GENTLE, COME/HERE, SETTLE and retrieving behaviours including; GET IT, BRING IT, GIVE (pace into hand).
